On Wednesday, September 7th 2018, Malcolm James McCormick, known to the public as Mac Miller, sadly passed away at the age of 26. Mac was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 19th, 1992. Growing up, he was always passionate about music, and during his senior year in high school, he released his debut mixtape under the name "Easy Mac". In 2010, he embarked on what would become a promising and successful rap career. He released four albums, three mix tapes and several EPs. Among them, the albums "Blue Slide Park" and "The Divine Feminine". He was an outstanding performer, performing on tours all around the world, and even at festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo, and opening for artists such as Wiz Khalifa and Drake. Mac was also proficient at producing and creating music, collaborating with artists like Anderson Paak and Action Bronson. His music was inspirational and heartfelt and he touched many many aspiring artist lives, as well as critical acclaim and numerous awards, including Top Rap Artist at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. Mac Miller will be remembered fondly and forever remembered for his soaring humor, talent and heart.
