Marc Bolan sadly passed away on the 16th of September in 1977. He was only 29 years old. Marc was born Mark Feld in London, England in September of 1947. He was best known for his work as the frontman for the band T. Rex, leading them to become one of the most successful British rock acts in the early 1970s. Between 1971 and his death, he wrote and performed five Top 20 singles, including Metal Guru, I Love to Boogie, and Get It On. Marc released several solo albums in his career, most notably The Slider in 1972, and he worked on various film projects, including the film Born to Boogie in 1972. His influence as a musician reached far and wide, and he remains well-loved and respected even today. He will be remembered as a gifted singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, his music forever inspiring and lifting people up. He leaves behind two brothers, two half-sisters, and a son.
