It is with deep sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of Nikki Grahame, a beloved artist, television personality, and author, who died on April 9, 2021 at the age of 38. Nikki was a fixture in the British pop culture landscape. Drawing her first breath in 1982 and growing up in Northwood, London, Nikki entered the limelight in 2006 as a housemate in UK ‘Big Brother’. Her larger-than-life personality and iconic catchphrases made her an instant reality TV favorite. After her success on the show, Nikki launched a successful career as a television presenter, appearing on various shows, such as ‘Loose Women’, ‘Big Brother’s Little Brother’, and ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’. In later years, Nikki was an outspoken advocate of body acceptance and self-care, drawing from her own severe battles with anorexia from her teens. She documented her struggles in her 2006 autobiography, ‘Dying to Be Thin’. In 2020, Nikki utilized her platform to create anorexia awareness and support resources for families who were affected by the disorder. Nikki is survived by her family and countless friends. Her legacy will remain in the pages of her book, the shows she appeared in, and in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she is gone too soon, Nikki’s memory will remain forever in our hearts.
