Jade Goody, a British celebrity and reality television star, passed away on March 22, 2009, aged 27, from cervical cancer. Goody was best known for having starred in the UK version of Big Brother in 2002 and went on to appear in numerous TV shows, magazines and advertisements. She wrote two autobiographies and released an exercise video, gaining a great deal of fame and notoriety in the UK. Aside from her television appearances, Goody developed a number of charities and foundations dedicated to pediatric cancer awareness and treatment. Goody's death prompted an outpouring of tributes in the UK, with 10 Downing Street being among the first to pay its respects. Goody is survived by her two sons Bobby and Freddie, and parents Jackiey Budden and Andrew Goody, who grieved her passing. She was loved deeply by her family, friends and the fans in many countries around the world. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
