It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norm Macdonald on 2021-09-14. Norm was born on October 17th, 1959, in Quebec, Canada, and developed a reputation as a standup comedian and comedic actor. After a tour on the Canadian comedy circuit, he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live (SNL) in 1993 where he appeared for five seasons, first as a featured player, then as a Weekend Update anchor. Macdonald turned his SNL success into a successful Hollywood acting and writing career with many film and television credits including Dirty Work, Billy Madison, The Norm Show, and Dr. Ken. Norm also hosted the 2007 revival of High Stakes Poker on GSN and had several standup specials on Netflix. He is survived by his son Dylan, his daughter, and his two sisters. His unique comedic voice will be sorely missed.
