Paul Harvey (1918-2009) passed away on Sunday, February 28th, 2009, at 90 years old. Paul Harvey was a well-known radio broadcaster and a fixture in American culture for many decades. Born into a family of radio professionals, he began his radio career in 1933 at the age of only 15, and he eventually hosted a popular daily show in the 1950s. This show was broadcasted nationally and earned him a strong reputation in the field of radio broadcasting. In addition to his radio career, Paul Harvey also authored several books, wrote commentary articles for newspapers, and served as an editorial consultant for ABC radio. Harvest's political allegiances were often questioned due to his conservative viewpoints; yet, despite the controversy, he always managed to draw a loyal audience of over 22 million listeners by the time of his retirement in 2008. Paul Harvey leaves behind a legacy filled with strong opinions, humor, news, and Down-Home Philosophy.
