Thomas Edward Lawrence, better known as T. E. Lawrence, passed away on May 19th, 1935 at 46 years old. Born in 1888 in Wales, Thomas was a British military officer, archaeologist, and diplomat. He is most notably known for his role during World War I for his tactical and leadership excellence in aiding the Arab revolt, and subsequently gaining the title Lawrence of Arabia. Throughout his career, Thomas was awarded with the 1914–15 Star, the British War Medal, and a knighthood. He was also made an honorary member of the Royal Air Force, made a companion of the Order of the Bath, and was awarded with the Order of Merit. Thomas is remembered for his leadership, courage, and influence in the military that made a significant impact on the Middle East and Arabia. He will be deeply missed.
