On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the age of 28, Takeoff passed away. Born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, he was an American rapper, singer and songwriter. He was best known as a member of the rap group Migos, which he founded in 2008 with Quavo and Offset. He earned his first Grammy Award in 2020 as a featured artist on the track "Top Off" by DJ Khaled. Takeoff was known for his songwriting skills as well as for his flow and delivery style. He was widely respected within the rap and hip hop community and influenced many young artists. Takeoff leaves behind his family, friends and fans around the world. He will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed.
