Terry Jones, 77, a beloved actor, writer and director, passed away on 2020-01-21 00:00:00 UTC. He was born on April 2, 1942 in Colwyn Bay, Wales. He was well-known for being part of the creative team of Monty Python's Flying Circus, co-directing Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life, and directing Terry Gilliam's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Jones made several films and television shows, appeared on the UK panel show QI, and wrote books, including The Hobbit parody Bored of the Rings. He wrote several children's books and wrote and directed documentaries. In 2014, Jones was diagnosed with dementia, and despite this, continued to make public appearances, including reunions with Monty Python's Flying Circus. He had a passion for history and never failed to share it in his films and documentaries. Jones will be remembered for his provocative and creative works --his impact will transcend his passing.
