It is with great sadness that the family of Virgil Abloh announce his passing on November 28, 2021, at the age of 41. As a highly influential fashion designer, Virgil Abloh rose to prominence as a creative designer for the hip-hop group Kanye West, before becoming the creator and designer of the luxury fashion label Off-White, founding the label in 2013. His ability to merge design with fashion and pop culture made him a revolutionary figure in the art and fashion world. He also collaborated with consumer brands such as Nike, IKEA, and Louis Vuitton, among others. His unique vision and deep understanding of the power of design quickly made him a major creative force in the industry. Virgil was born in Rockford, Illinois in 1980. His legacy will be remembered fondly by his family and friends. He surpassed what could have been predicted and pushed the boundaries in the fashion industry. He will be deeply missed.
