Wayne Rogers, best known for his role as Trapper John McIntyre in the classic television series MASH, died on December 31, 2015, at the age of 82. He was born on April 7, 1933 in Birmingham, Alabama. After studying at Princeton and the University of Alabama, he worked in New York as a stockbroker. His star-making role as Trapper John McIntyre, Honeycut's good-humored roomate, proved to be highly popular and he received three Emmy nominations. After his tenure on M*A*S*H ended in 1975, he went on to appear in a variety of other acting roles. He was a successful investor, and appeared regularly on the Fox News program Cashin’ In, as well as in various other TV and radio shows. He is survived by his wife Amy, and his three children.
