Errol Flynn, the legendary movie star, passed away October 14, 1959, at the age of 50. Born in Tasmania in 1909, Flynn began his career as an action and adventure film actor in Australia before coming to the United States in the mid 1930s. Flynn’s early roles in the US included the swashbuckling pirate in the 1935 film Captain Blood, a role that earned him international acclaim and stardom.
