Mata Hari, whose birth name was Margaretha Zelle, passed away in France on October 15, 1917, at the age of 41. Born in the Netherlands in 1876, she was a successful dancer and spy, living up to her reputation as a seductive and mysterious figure. Her career as a dancer took her to the stages of Paris, where she was considered one of the most celebrated dancers of the era. During World War I, suggestions of her espionage activities began to circulate, leading to her arrest and conviction in July 1917. She served her time and was executed by firing squad near Paris. Mata Hari's life was filled with mystery and intrigue, and it would be a fitting tribute to her memory.
