Robert Blake, world renowned actor, passed away peacefully in his home in Los Angeles on Wednesday, March 9th, 2023, at the age of 89. Born on September 18th, 1933, in Nutley, New Jersey, Robert attended LaSalle military academy and later graduated from Eastside High School. After his years in school, Robert enlisted in the U.S Army, where he began his career as a radio announcer in the Armed Forces Radio Network. Robert moved his acting career to Hollywood, using the stage name "Bobby Blake". While living in California, Blake earned two Golden Globe Award nominations and an Emmy nomination, along with a number of other awards. Most of Robert's accolades come from his leading role on the TV show Baretta which ran from 1975-1978 where he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 1977. Though he was known for his acting career, Robert was also passionate about advocating for social justice and was a tireless activist. He is survived by his sons Noah and Casey, his daughter Rose and his family and friends. Robert Blake will be deeply missed.
