It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of June Whitfield on December 29th, 2018, aged 93. June was a British actress best remembered for roles in television shows such as Absolutely Fabulous, Terry and June, Happy Ever After, and in the classic British comedy series The Benny Hill Show. Her lasting career spanned seven decades. She was also known for her portrayal of Eth in the BBC Radio 4 series The Kenneth Williams Show. June was awarded an OBE for services to Drama in the 1988 New Year Honours, and CBE in the 2017 Birthday Honours for services to Drama. Throughout her lifetime, June was passionate about her work, with an impressive body of work that has left an indelible mark on the worlds of stand-up comedy, theatre, film, and television. June will be remembered and deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
