Lenny McLean, better known as "The Guv'nor," passed away on July 28, 1998 at the age of 49. Lenny was an incredible boxer, bodybuilder, and actor. He was once the #1 British Hardman and held many historically significant bare-knuckle fights. His acting career began with the release of his first documentary, The Guv'nor, which featured interviews with Lenny and other members of the London crime community. Lenny had an undeniable presence in the media and was featured in films such as Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, The Mayfair Set, and A Matter of Life and Death. He was respected and admired for his fearlessness, intelligence, and sharp wit. Lenny leaves behind an amazing legacy of courage, strength, and artistry. He will always be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
