Ron Woodroof (1950-1992), an independent Texas electrician, passed away on September 12, 1992, at the age of 42. Woodroof was a beloved son, brother, and father, and is remembered for his commitment to his family and friends, as well as his ambition and strong work ethic. Woodroof had a passion for rodeos, rodeo bull riding, and the great outdoors. Woodroof is remembered for his bravery and activism. He dedicated his life to taking a stand for the fair and equal treatment of HIV and AIDS patients, challenging Big Pharma regulations and laws, and bringing public awareness to the cause. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the thousands of AIDS patients he worked to help in the 1980s.
